Phil Wood

Phil Wood & Co. is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, American cycling component manufacturer. All Phil Wood products are made in the USA - they are completely designed, manufactured and assembled in San Jose, California. The company was founded in 1971 to produce maintenance -free hubs for cyclists. At the time these were the world's first production sealed bearing bicycle hubs. Phil Wood hubs evolved along with the materials and technology available to produce them. Today Phil Wood offers more than 200 unique bicycle hubs to satisfy the requirements of the discerning and demanding cyclist. Phil Wood also produced the first sealed cartridge bottom bracket system (circa 1971). The Phil Wood square taper bottom brackets available are a more durable and servicable upgrade than original equipment.
