Do not be afraid to spend money on eye-wear. A wise man told me 'clothes can be cheap, but glasses and shoes deserve the best you can afford.' So it was with trepidation that I forsook to replace my stolen Oakley with Bloc.

I purchased photochromic* as I live in the UK and we can boast all 4 seasons in one day! Going to work in the day and returning at night also meant one set of glasses rather than 2.
(*n.b. ‘Transitions’ is a trade name which make which end photochromic lenses)

I do not have the tools or data set but in low light these hold up well 10-66% compared to the Oakley 10-69% according to their website.
Transition time is about the same for these type of lenses -dark to lights always slower, but not as quick as Oakley.
Lens quality is good for direct view with minimal distortion on the periphery, again not as good as the top brands with hardly any, but far better than cheaper brands which can be flimsy & distort quickly.
Fit is excellent reaching behind the ear for comfort and the vents work well to reduce steaming up – never had to take them off once after a hard ride in 25C heat or full gas sprint uphill at 18C.
Eye cover is good too as I never had to worry about my vision when going downhill with my butt in the air. Bugs flying off my glasses (although one blighter did sting me in the chest! Remind me to zip up).
Low light was good. At night I was still able to see well under regular street light and they even held up to a night-ride as we were attacked by midges (or tiny flying demons!)
The lenses are replaceable as with many brands. Not he cheapest on the market, but at around half the price of some of the big brands it represents good value for money.
Also ideal for touring and MTB.
