I am avoided add on(s) with potential weight and little benefit. This chain catcher by Campagnolo is well constructed and highly effective in preventing a chain expulsion when least expected. A superior way to avoid a scratched carbon frame is an added benefit. For the amount of $ for the small piece - I would highly recommend it.

Forget the old-style chain catchers that don't have an independent mounting system, like this one does. Typical Campagnolo quality, design and performance. None better, and no more expensive than anything else either.
