Castelli Aero race 5.1 jersey £100.00
Castelli began the aero jersey revolution in pro cycling and continued to perfect the Aero Race 5.1. This version builds on race-leading aerodynamics making the jersey more comfy, resilient and the most aerodynamic jersey Castelli has ever made. The fabrics on the front and back have been updated and showed a 2-watt gain during wind tunnel tests compared to the previous version.
Lightweight and Comfortable
This jersey is not just aerodynamic; it’s extremely lightweight, weighing only 103g, around 40g lighter than a standard jersey and almost as light as Castelli's Climber’s Jersey. Pro riders, as with amateur cyclists, are looking for a comfortable fit and the lightweight polyester fabrics in this Aero Race Jersey dry nearly instantly, making this the ideal choice, even when racing in cool or wet weather.
André Cardoso (Cannondale Pro Cycling Team) gives his pro tip when wearing the Aero Race 5.1 Jersey. He says "This jersey is aero, but a lot of its aero advantage comes from the snug fit. When you put it on, pull the sleeves up from the neck area and the collar will fit better".
3 Rear Pockets and Silicone Gripper
As you would expect with Castelli, the jersey is packed with features and on top of the above features, the Aero 5.1 also includes a compression band around the 3 rear pockets which keeps them from moving or bouncing no matter how you load them up, velocity dimpled fabric on front, silicone gripper elastic to prevent ride-up and a full-length YKK Camlock zipper. Most importantly, the Aero Race 5.1 gives you a watt saving of 22 compared to a standard jersey at 40km/h.

Castelli make high performance technical cycling clothing. When choosing shorts or jerseys you should normally base your choice on chest and waist size. The clothing should fit snugly for aerodynamics but not restrict movement. Please refer to the charts below for fitting.
NB - you should normally pick one size smaller for armwarmers. If you use an XL jersey then chose a size L armwarmer.
We stock a range of Castelli at our retail shop in Pennyburn where you can call in to try sizing before you buy.
