Cateye Volt 1200 Front USB Rechargeable Light - 1200 Lumen From £74.99

Bought item and arrived on time and well packaged.
I am comparing this to a 1000 lumen torch bought on ebay for £40 (inc battery and charger). The comparison is chalk and cheese. The Cateye Volt1200 is SO MUCH brighter and also has a very wide beam making it so easy to see in the dark. Also, the light is well constructed and the clip for attaching the light to the bike handlebars is very good and well designed. The choice of modes is also worth having with the flashing mode giving 100 hours of use between charges (not tested). The flashing mode is great for general use while the full 1200 lumens is brilliant for unlit roads and paths which I use. Please note that when the light is in the 1200 lumen mode it is too bright to look at or point at on-coming cars/traffic. But the choice of modes means there is one setting for each type of use.
The not so good
It does take a long time to charge initially (14hrs) and if you are relying on the USB on your computer this can be annoying. Luckily I used my phone charger which has the same fittings and left it on overnight.
In conclusion, this light is well worth £99 if you cycle regularly and need to use unlit roads or paths and night.
