Whereas many manufacturers create two types of carbon frame, a stiff uncomfortable one with a low front end and a less rigid frame with higher front end Colnago have always concentrated on making their race frames comfortable too.
The new frame offers increased stiffness without any weight penalty and retains the comfortable ride Colnago's are famous for.
The new frame features Colnago's signature Master profiled tubes and lugs whereas the C59 had a round seat tube and lugs.
The bottom bracket is compatible with the new BB86.5 standard but has a precision machined steel insert which is replaceable should wear occur over time due to frequent removal and installation of bearings.
The wider bottom bracket shell allows for a beefier down tube which has increased width by 50% to 66mm compared with 44mm on the C59 offering greater lateral rigidity.
The chainstays are ribbed internally for lateral stiffness but taper towards the dropouts allowing some vertical flex for comfort.
The dropouts are now CNC'd from a single piece of aluminium and anodized.
The C60 is available in 9 sloping and 5 traditional sizes.
