Ernesto Colnago has been making bikes since 1954. Quickly gaining the respect of pro riders he assembled the bike ridden by Fiorenzo Magni to victory in the 1955 Giro D' Italia. Ernesto is still at the head of the company bearing his name today.
Colnago has built frames for champions such as Eddy Merckx, Giuseppe Saronni, Maurizio Fondriest, Tony Romiger, Erik Zabel, Oscar Freire and Johan Museeuw. From 1994 to 2002 Colnago bicycles were used by the dominant Mapei team winning over 650 races including 5 editions of the Paris-Roubaix classic and two world Championship road races with Oscar Freire.
