Save time and money spent replacing worn-out chain rings and cassettes with the Cyclo Chain Wear Indicator, which measures wear to the chain pins and internal surface of the roller.
With a brand new chain the indicator will not be able to lie flat when placed on the chain.
If the wear indicator can lie flat on the 0.75% side the chain should be replaced to avoid excessive wear on the sprockets and chainrings.
If the wear indicator can lie flat on the 1% side the chain may have already worn out other drivetrain elements such as sprockets or one or more chainrings.
