11 kilometres with an average gradient of 6.5% topping out at 1607 metres above sea level; the Mon Chasseral peak looms large above DT Swiss's headquarters in the Jura mountains and is the favourite testing ground for their finest high mountain equipment.
The 38 mm tubular Mon Chasseral was developed specifically as a result of IAM cycling's request for dedicated breakaway wheel for mountain stages, the super low weight (1180 gram) will help you gap your opponents on the climb and the 38 mm deep aero rims and superb braking mean you can keep them at bay on the descent to the line.
Custom Swiss-Made carbon shelled hubs with 36 tooth ratchets have been developed especially to push DT's Spline technology to its limit and are the lightest hubs DT have ever made.
38 mm deep full carbon tubular rims are 21 mm wide and offer a blend of low weight, braking performance, stiffness and aerodynamic performance that is ideal for mountain riding but wouldn't be out of place on any road.
The braking surface is infused with a heat resistant resin that gives braking performance far beyond even the stringent German DIN standard when used in conjunction with the supplied brake pads.
SINC ceramic bearings come as standard, these are designed from the ground up to align perfectly with DT Swiss hubs and offer unparalleled smoothness with real world all conditions reliability.
DT have specced a blend of their renowned Aerolite and Aero Comp spokes for the perfect balance of stiffness, comfort and low weight.
Maximum recommended system weight: 90 KG.
When bought as a pair they will include Wheel bags, RWS titanium skewers, spoke tools and SwissStop carbon brake pads.
