These pedals give you confidence that your feat will stay fully connected with them. I've used different styles ( platform and cleated) but these for me are the best all rounders. I use them with toe clips and loosely fitted straps and when you need your foot out quickly to avoid falling off they are ideal. They are also good for starting off from a stand still with your foot on the 'wrong' side until you have time to flip the pedal. All in all very nice kit not the lightest but built to last and good to look at, I definitely recommend them.
