The CR Mag features a super-light magnesium lever body, a beautiful new carbon fibre lever with hollow pivot, updated master cylinder, and all-new U-Clamp. Not to mention In-Line Pad Contact-Point Adjustment, Power Reserve Geometry, Elixir power/ modulation, an adjustable banjo, and semi-metallic pads.
Power Reserve Geometry - the lever pivot is closer to the handlebar than any other brake in the industry. The resulting lever movement has less inward travel and an arc that's closer to your finger's natural motion, which delivers more force to the brake with less effort to the rider.
DOT 5.1 brake fluid, provides more heat resistance which gives you consistent power that never fades.
Easy-to-use Pad Contact-Point Adjustment. Reach adjustment is standard on all our brakes. And just as you have come to expect from Avid, maintenance and service are practically child's play.
All Elixir brake pads load from the top, so changing them is a snap. Elixir is even MatchMaker compatible and works perfectly with various SRAM triggers and/or RockShox remotes to create the most elegant and functional cockpit ever.

With Avid's Tri-Align Calliper Positioning System, aligning the calliper to the rotor literally takes seconds. Just loosen the CPS™ bolts a little and squeeze the brake lever, while tightening the bolts again. Perfect calliper alignment and you could probably do it with your eyes closed.
